Wear-Resistant Plates
In mining and bulk-materials industries, wear is a relentless cost β worn chutes, hoppers and buckets mean repeated replacement and downtime. The right wear-resistant plate extends component life many times over compared with ordinary steel, and actually lowers total cost of ownership.
We supply AR (Abrasion Resistant) plate and chromium carbide overlay (CCO) for operations enduring heavy abrasion from coal, ore and aggregates.
Plate types we supply
- AR400 β ~400 HBW hardness, versatile for liners, chutes and dump-truck bodies with moderate abrasion.
- AR450 / AR500 β higher hardness for heavy abrasion and impact; longer service life in aggressive environments.
- Hardox-grade quenched & tempered β through-hardened plate combining hardness and strength, weldable and formable.
- Chromium carbide overlay (CCO) β bimetal plate (base + chromium-carbide overlay) for extreme abrasion; lasts far longer under high friction.
- Clad & complex plate β double-sided overlay and special profiles to order.
Sizes & shapes
AR plate is typically 6β60 mm in 2Γ6 m / 2.5Γ6 m sheets; CCO ranges 6+4 mm to 20+15 mm (base+overlay). We offer cutting (CNC plasma/gas), bending and drilling so plate arrives ready to install.

Sourcing & lead time
Common AR400/AR500 is stocked for 3β10 working-day delivery; CCO and large sizes are imported or fabricated in 3β6 weeks. For finished parts (ready-to-fit liners) we provide cutting to drawing.
Quality assurance
Mill certificates with hardness (HBW) and composition data are included; for CCO we provide overlay thickness and carbide-structure data.
