Refractory Castables & Insulation

Not every part of a furnace can be bricked. Complex shapes, burner blocks, roofs and frequently changed areas are more practical to line with monolithic material β€” castable cast in place. Add ceramic fibre for lightweight insulation, and this combination gives a tight, energy-saving, fast-to-install lining.

We supply dense and lightweight castables, refractory mortar, ceramic fibre blanket/module and plastic refractory for high-temperature process industries.

Products we supply

  • Conventional dense castable β€” high-alumina for working linings that resist abrasion and high temperature.
  • Low-cement & ultra-low-cement castable (LCC/ULCC) β€” higher strength and chemical resistance for critical applications.
  • Lightweight insulating castable β€” low density for back-up layers and energy saving.
  • Ceramic fibre β€” blanket, board, module and paper up to 1,260–1,430Β°C for insulation and expansion joints.
  • Mortar & plastic refractory β€” for brick installation and local patching repairs.

Specifications & packaging

Castable is packed in 25 kg bags with maximum service temperature, bulk density and CCS data. Ceramic fibre comes in 96–160 kg/mΒ³ density and 13–50 mm thickness. We help calculate volume requirements from your lining dimensions.

Applications by industry

Steel & foundry: runners, troughs and burner blocks. Cement: kiln inlets and cyclones. Petrochemical: heater linings and ceramic-fibre expansion joints. Power plants: boiler linings. Often combined with refractory bricks as a complete system.

Sourcing & lead time

Common castables and ceramic fibre are stocked for 3–10 working-day delivery; special grades are imported in 3–6 weeks. For large relining, delivery is scheduled to the shutdown timeline.

Quality assurance

Factory data sheets and installation guidance (mixing, curing, dry-out) are included so the lining reaches optimal strength.

Refractory Castables & Insulation β€” Frequently Asked Questions

When should I use castable instead of brick?
Castable excels for complex shapes, burner blocks, roofs and frequently changed areas β€” faster to install without brick cutting. Brick suits large, stable linings. Many furnaces use a combination of both.
Up to what temperature is ceramic fibre safe?
Depends on grade: standard blanket up to ~1,260Β°C, high-purity and polycrystalline grades up to ~1,430Β°C. Send your working temperature for the right density and grade selection.
Is installation and dry-out guidance provided?
Yes. Every castable ships with mixing, curing and dry-out schedule guidance β€” these steps are crucial so the lining does not crack and reaches full strength.
Can you help calculate volume requirements?
Yes. Send the lining area dimensions (area and thickness) and we will estimate the number of castable bags or ceramic-fibre rolls needed.
